Mother's Organic's business model is centered
in service to our community for normal business operations,
but also for operational excellence in times of crisis.
Our site development and construction initiatives were
carefully considered in anticipation of serving our community
for debris management needs in times of crisis. In
addition to having the size and scope to handle large-scale
debris requirement, we've developed multiple site
platforms that allows us to be a self-sustaining site
for our community in working through crisis situations.
Location
Our Thonotosassa site
is centrally located in Hillsborough County within
two miles of the major interstates, Route 4 and I-75.
Our exit off of I-4 has two trucks stops for fuel and
there is only one stretch of road to clear debris from
following a natural disaster to reach the interstate.
Capacity
At
greater than 52 acres, our farm is the largest organic
disposal facility in central Florida. We have
a large surge capacity due to both the size of the
farm and due to the processing area being separated
below the tipping area by 35 feet. This allows for
the ability to have large surge piles in times of crisis.
Staging
Mother's
Organics has secured adjacent property to our site
with power and water to partner with disaster management
companies that require temporary shelters and truck staging
needs.
Equipment
Our
company has a fleet of heavy equipment including
loaders and excavators for clearing and material movement
activities as needed in times of crisis. We have
a fleet of grinders to start reducing material immediately
following a crisis situation.
Site Operations
Our
ability to effectively handle the flow of materials
in times of crisis in essential. Our site has
a 15,000 square foot concrete tipping slab, which
allows numerous trucks to simultaneously unload organic
material. The operational site logistics
provide for efficient truck entry and exit, and for truck
staging on a five acre parcel within our operational
area. Depending
on the quantity of material related to the extent of
the disaster, we have a series of on-site roadways
that are available for direct material disposal in
our processing area below.
